There are numbers that have been often repeated in Bible and are attached to important religious incidents. Because of their religious importance, these numbers are considered very important and numerologists have assigned special meanings to these numbers.

For example, biblical numerology lays special stress on importance of number 3. The number is said to be a symbolic expression of a good number of biblical facts. This biblical number represents the trilogy of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It also reflects three universal traits, matter, space and time. Number 3 is also an indicator of three human conditions soul, spirit and body. Some biblical numerologists often term 3 as a divine number.

In Bible Jesus Christ has been shown into three different shades of his character as a shepherd. He is termed as good shepherd when he speaks of his death. When he glorifies his worth, he is adjudged a chief shepherd. He becomes great shepherd once he divulges about his resurrection.
